Should Sentries get Crits?

Personally, I think they should - but have the chance of a crit lower than most weapons, everything else does (including the medigun).

I'd be interested to see what kind of effect it would have in game. Is it possible from a server admin's point of view? Somehow I doubt it.

a level 3 being able to crit wouldnt do too much, they already rip people apart pretty quick, but a level 1 or 2 being able to crit would make them more useful for non turtleing engies.

 On you idea of a flame turret, it would be cool if you could change the rocket part of a level 3, to something like a flamethrower or grenage launcher instead

Oooh, I'd pick an option to let it fire a full clip of stickies all at once.  That would be incredible!!!  I also really wish you had the option to control the sentry to spam a tunnel or chokepoint.  It would make things much more interesting than the current strategy of jumping behind walls and then back out to get the sentry.  Let it be a true "remote" sentry.

Like many in other topic says: An ubered soldier+medic or heavy+medic can destory a sentry no problem...so buffing the sentry to have crits doesn't hurt

I say instead of giving an increased crit chance to the engy for the SG kills give it to the SG gun. I mean if you run out unprotected your going to get gibbed anyway and the slight crit jump may help the SG protect itself from corner strafing soldiers and demomen.

maybe level ones.  but the crit chance better be under 3% per bullet.  It would realy only be useful for on the spot level ones that you know aren't going to make it to level 2. 
the grenade and flamethrowers are good ideas but they should cost extra metal or something.  something to the expense of the engie iono.     
at first I thought it was bogus, but now the idea is kind of growing on me.  there has to be something we're overlooking though.....something that would make it extremely cheap.

Wow, that would be a neat addition - when upgrading the engineer could choose between flamethrower or rocket launchers.
