I've been looking at getting a new PC game for a while now, and right now my top two choices are The Sims 3 and Fallout 3.

Since y'all are gamers, i was wondering which game you prefer and why...any extra details would be welcome (like, was it worth the money? does it get really boring really fast? etc.)

Thanks for the help, i really appreciate it!

Those games are from completely different genres... It's like comparing apples and oranges.

Read reviews and figure out which genre you like better.

Edit: Sims 3 = Sims 2 and Fallout 3 = Oblivion, so if you have one of those games...

They are two completely different games, like Frohman stated.

But I would also say that Sims 3 may be similar to 2 at a glance, but there is so much improvement in AI and personality traits, it opens up a ton of new scenarios for your Sims, and there's more shit to buy! Yay! There's also a huge leap in the aesthetic department, which is always a plus.

If you don't have expendable income like most gamers, you can always just buy one and torrent the other. Then you don't have to choose.

Sims gets boring after a few hours... Mainly when you hit the realization that you are sitting at a computer watching somebody sit at a computer playing video games...

Fallout on the other hand, if you can get yourself immersed in it is a really enjoyable game providing you don't just power thorough the main story and ignore the entire capital wasteland. So much effort went into just the little towns that most people never even see.

Oh, and Fallout has guns, gibs and VATS and sims dosen't.
