Sniper is so much fun :).

Playing on some random pub + sniper = supa awesome. Probably the best part was when they're Demoman tried to sticky jump from their battlements to kill me, so I saw him jump and fly twoards me, so I took a blind shot and BOOOOOOM headshot.

Hopefully once I get my new rig getting decent FPS will help me out with my skillzorz. Also the machette is the greatest melee weapon ever.

Hmm.. i hate the sniper =D

I only use it when killing other snipers, because they don't move very often and I have faster reflexes than most of them, so it's easy to just headshot them. With other enemies though, I just prefer to be something else. I rarely get to the top of the boards as a sniper because I feel so restricted when scoped in. I also find it rare to see a very good sniper on a server b/c most of them are just mediocre.

Sniper is very fun. Not a whole lot is more satisfying that getting a headshot on some hapless passer-by.

Its decent but i like the freedom of movement of the other classes

I just discovered the sniper fun myself. My favorite is shooting scouts out of the air, and after they respawn, they come after you with a vengeance.

I guess if you like standing around in one spot for hours. Not for me.

Sometimes great fun, especially in less constricted maps. And it's always nice to have your teammates as a distraction in front of you while you pick everyone off. I was becoming such a problem doing that one game that the opposing team were putting most of their resources in trying to deal with me, great fun. But other times it's just standing around waiting...waiting...waiting. I guess it all depends on the dynamics of the particular game but I usually go for more direct action oriented classes such as Soldier and Pyro.

I'm not a great shooter, but I'm diligent enough to seek out less common firing positions AND change my positions after a couple minutes or a couple kills.  The important thing to all this is that I get to shoot at targets that don't know I'm there, so that makes killing a little easier, especially against other snipers.  imho, this is lots of fun in itself and actually more helpful to your team than sniper-camping.  So if you don't like Sniper, try being a little more aggressive and you might find it more rewarding.

I haven't played a ton of sniper, but in most other games a good sniper doesn't stay in one spot too long.  1) players will get wise and avoid that location 2) a spy may eventaully backstab ya.  In most vanilla maps or some of the good customs I shy away because there are some deadly snipers out there.  Although I've come to play sniper a good bit on the nom nom server.. there are some regulars there but alot of non-regulars which makes nice targets.  Heck I had barely played sniper and joined a Hall_of_giants game and ended up getting my grey matter achievement..
