So, cool thing is if you have a CD-key, you're set. Plug it into your battle.net account and you're good to go. No funny updating things because ICCUP works like a charm with 1.16.1. Bad part is I don't think there's a .zip version anymore or I can't find it at least. You don't need a woooorking CD-key to install, so if you get Starcraft through whatever illegal ways you usually get things, you'll be able to play on ICCUP with no difficulties.

New ICCUP season starts in a couple days, so prepare to get wrecked when that happens. I'm definitely going to mass gaming against people in attempts to get better for next season/SC2. I play zerg and will teach you more strategic elements after you learn how to play the basic game by yourself. Nothing personal, it's just a bit tedious to explain why you do things if you don't know what each unit can do.

Much love babies,
Mindgames

1.    Obtain SC (Vent comment or your own)
2.    Download Iccup Anti-Hack Launcher: http://www.iccup.com/files/view/Anti-Hack_Launcher_v1.4_build_84_01.html and register ON THE WEBSITE. Do not try to register while in game. It doesn't work.
3.    Start up SC using the launcher, and connect to iccup's TheAbyss.
4.    Join channel tf2f, i'll probably be idling in there.

1. If you don't have Starcraft, use the download link found in the Starcraft channel on Ventrilo.
2. Install Starcraft and connect to Battle.net by going to "Multiplayer" and selecting a server (US East, US West... etc).  You may need to download updates.  Do so at this time.
3. Register for an account at ICCUP here: http://www.iccup.com/register.html
4. Once you verify your account through your Email, your account will be active.  You will need this account Username and Password later.
5. Download the Starcraft Patcher here: http://www.iccup.com/files/view/Patcher7x_1.16.0_01.html
6. Run the Patcher program and select 1.153.  It will ask you again if you want to patch to 1.153, select OK.
7. Download the Anti-Hack Launcher here: http://www.iccup.com/files/view/Anti-Hack_Launcher_v1.4_build_84_03.html
8. Install and run the Anti-Hack Launcher and click the Starcraft icon on the left to launch Starcraft.
9. Choose "Multiplayer" and select TheAbyss from the server list.
10. You will see a login screen.  Use your Username and Password that you used to create your ICCUP account.  If you did everything correctly, you should be in Battle.net.
11. To meet up with TF2F players, go to "Channel" on the left, and type in "tf2f" and connect.

I hope this is a bit easier to follow.  Happy Starcrafting!

Just a note, we all suck. So if you're worried about getting completely owned or want to learn, don't be afraid.

How to depatch to 1.15.3 from 1.16.0

Follow these instructions with this image, it contains the files needed to depatch.

http://i44.tinypic.com/4t1rte.jpg

Copy those files into your starcraft folder, make sure to save the files you're replacing if you ever want to go back to 1.16.0
Note: you only need to do this if you have a real copy.

Kwogger (Zerg) vs Mindgames (Protoss) - Round One
Map: Lost Temple
Locations: Mindgames 6 o'clock, Kwogger 8 o'clock
Replay: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TV5C077P
Comments: I spent the whole game shaking from the adrenaline. See the two Scourges I made - result of me mistyping by shaking too much. Victory through Mutas, though it wouldn't've worked if we weren't so close together that I could see what he was doing for most of the game, AND allowed me to quickly bypass the bulk of his defenses. Mindgames would've also raped me if I didn't toss down the two sunkens right when he ripped through my Lings.

Kwogger (Zerg) vs Mindgames (Protoss) - Round Two
Map: Ride of the Valkries
Locations: Mindgames Left, Kwogger Right
Replay: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F42JS0D6
Comments: Zergling rush! Well, I butchered the build order. I'm not too proud of this, since it was kind of really cheap of me to rush like that. My microing was pretty horrible too, with me screwing up repeatedly and getting my Lings pwned. My idea was to delay Mindgames from teching up while I threw as many Lings as I can against him until I could gather an army of Hydras and Lurkers.

Post-Mortem
Kwogger's a cheap bastard. Mindgames could use better early game defense, and a few corsairs would've completely crippled me when i was massing up Mutas due to a lack of anti-air. Protoss ought to get corsairs against Zerg on general principle - they're great for harassing the enemy and killing off their Overlords, completely paralyzing the Zerg's ability to quickly mass an army. I on the other hand need to work on more conventional strategies, such as building up a Ling/Hydra/Lurk army.
