We are a large clan with over 500 members across the world. We are currently recruiting for Team Fortress 2 members from both the U.S. and Europe. There are a number of games that we play and support so you will always be able to find company in the other games that you may play.

Get to know us on our game server here: 208.100.45.52:27015 . We play a variety of custom maps, some of which were made by our members, as well as all of the base maps that everyone loves.

We are very organized and require dedication and loyalty, although all skill levels are accepted and encouraged to apply. You are welcome to check us out at http://www.TAW.net. If you like what you see, feel free to apply.

Section 3: Chain of Command

TOP
TAW uses a Chain of Command (COC) in the organization of teams, relay of orders, and flow of information to achieve success on the battlefield.

If a member has an issue or complaint they wish to share, it must to be brought to their COC. No TAW member will pass over their direct leader in the COC unless ordered to do so by a COC member above their direct leader.

Issues with and about a direct COC leader also have to be taken up through the COC. No COC leader will suppress requests but will forward them up the COC immediately.

All orders must be followed, whether in combat, training, in daily TAW duty, and including the installation of communications software on the member's PC. Orders are not up for discussion.
Whatever floats your boat, but this sounds more like a para-military organization than a gaming clan. I hope you don't add military tribunals

lol, no military tribunals. It may sound intimidating, but the structure is only there to allow everything to stay organized. When you have 500+ members, you can't have the same rules that most clans have. It's also why we have been around for 7 years rather than be a typical breakup-after-3-weeks type clan.

As for the orders thing, I am not sure exactly why that is there as I have been with the clan for 3 years now and never received an order. I like it because I can count on always having a group of friends around to hang out and game with. But yeah, different strokes for different folks.

I can vouch for what Gerard's saying. It may sound daunting, but really it's not that rigid and military like (though it does have military-style organization, which is efficient). Plus TAW is just great. Organized, as you can clearly see. Friendly, it has a great group of clan mates. Definitely the best clan I've had the pleasure to play in.

I thought I'd give my two cents on TAW.

I've been in The Art of Wafare for over two years now and have had nothing but memorial experiences. From the minute I joined I realized this was a place I was spending the rest of my "gaming career". A great mature clan that knows where gaming is at. This clan is going places.

You can't find a better clan anywhere else. If you don't trust me, come try it out.

I must agree with Grillz up there I am stuck over here too and it is not a bad thing. ^^
You all need to remeber that TAW is not just for Americans it is also for Europians like myself. I live in Finland and I am the Exexutive Officer of 1st battalion which just for Europians. All feel free to join in our server if you see us there or to our IRC channel on quakenet #TAW.
Maybe even check out TAW sites
