TF2 is CPU Limited - For Multi - Core, use mat_queue_mode 2

If you have a dual core cpu, you can use the console command mat_queue_mode 2 and it may increase fps substantially.   I will have to test this out for myself when I get home.

Just wanted to mention it.

While using this you have an increased chance of your game crashing randomly.

Ive tried it for a while, but since I already got high enough fps, it wasn't worth the unexpected crashes.

This mode is experimental and probably not worthwhile if it crashes you.

lol it's so buggy though.

I'll admit, sometimes I can get away for it during a whole day and it wont crash. Then other days it lasts 5 minutes and instantly crashes hl2.exe

Yeah this doesnt really work well on my C2D.
By default TF2 auto detects, so this will force an option that may or may not be beneficial for your CPU.

For me, the game starts jumping between my vsync fps rate of 60 and double that (120) which creates an unbelievable stutter, and then it crashes eventually.
