TF2 sever issues

heres how it goes i log into steam tf2 fully updated open it up all fine goto find server and nothing no maps close reopen try again still nothing my firewall has been turned off and same for my killer card the ports has been forwaded so thats fine i took my pc to lan and the guys couldent figure it out so its the pc not the router then opened warcraft 3 no problem so it just might be steam

please help me ='(
