hi all, just wondering what the rules are for tournament matches?
I have this game on both pc + xbox, pc is of course the best, but my pc sucks...

I'm just curious about match rules as i love tf2 and have been playing since this game was a quake mod.

On xbox clan matches, there are these lame rules, restricting each team to two of each class, but only one medic, and one demo at most... these restrictions are lame,  limiting strategies and possibilities due to the 360 community whining about how overpowered this is and that is. well it is fun as it is different, but if the creator's of the game built it to have only one medic and demo, then that's the way valve would have made the game.

so how is shit done on pc clan matches?

Pretty much exactly the same.  Its not lame, its to keep the teams from being able to have an almost constant stream of ubers and hold enemies back while they charge ubers.  It also adds strategy ass you have to pick what is more important for the type of map you are playing on.

Lol.....ass...

Anyway, as Rosendoom said, it prevents constant ubers, which makes the attacking job impossible. As for demo's...2 demos = 16 sticky's .... 'nuff said.

How are the class limits enforced in the matches? Currently there are no class limits in ps3 clan matches. I proposed them, but one of the arguments against it was there'd be no way to enforce it without implementing spectators.

Every player has a demo of the match, If an admin requests the demo you have to provide it or you get disqualified. If they see you broke the rules, you get disqualified.

In 6v6 it's pretty obvious if you don't stick to class limits.

Ps3, but same difference. Also, matches are 8v8, and to quote an argument against class limits in the ps3 forums: "Even if there was a limit in a tournament how would you know if a clan was sticking to it really? Plus they could simply deny it lol" the man spoke the truth, far as I can tell.

We play mostly 8v8 on 360 as well..  There's not really a way to enforce class limits, but it's easy enough to keep track of what classes there are in an 8v8 if your paying attention and there's not a lot of class switching going on..  As far as I know, there's never been a problem with clans "cheating" the class limits..
