Hey guys, just thought I'd create a dual-use thread:
1) Discussion on Halloween and costumes you guys will be wearing...
2) Updates on the progression of my costume.
I will be going as Adam Banks (Cake Eater) from "The Mighty Ducks" movie. I will go in full Hockey garb, including accessories. Here is what the costume will consist of:
- Custom made jersey. (Unsure if I will create the lettering out of jersey fabric or if I will have it custom printed... depends on total cost and effort involved.)
- Custom trim on jersey made from purple, yellow, and black jersey fabric.
- Self-printed full color vector logo (vector file sent by random guy from a sports logo forum) using iron-on inkjet printer paper. I will iron the logo onto a white t-shirt and will cut it out and affix it to the jersey.
- Hockey helmet from Craigslist for $10.

- Hockey skates with blade housing and sole cutout (to slip over my shoes). Also purchased from Craigslist for $10.

- Hockey Stick being borrowed from girlfriend's brother.
- Lacrosse pads and gloves (essentially the same as hockey gear).
- Purple sweatpants from Good Will (the greatest costume store ever).
- Hockey socks!
I had to get the jersey custom ordered as my local sporting goods store didn't stock it in Kelly Green. I will need to figure out what I want to do with the lettering before it gets in. I can either screen print it there (which would add another $30), or I can use jersey fabric that I already purchased (for the jersey trim) to make the letters/numbers. I have the exact font for everything, so making templates would be very simple for an authentic look. Custom printing the logo is out of the question as it's very complex and has many colors. I don't want to spend $25 on just the logo, so I hope the inkjet transfer paper onto a whit t-shirt works well.
Here is what I hope to achieve:

"I am a badass."
I will keep this thread updated with my progress (and I just got my new camera so lots of pictures!).
So, enough about me, what are you guys going as?
