If you plan on auditioning, you must download the audition show notes. You can find them here:

Can't have a show without a proper panel of hosts. I have already asked one person to be a regular host based on his connection with the site and the community, but I will reveal who after I've selected the other regular hosts. If you are interested in co-hosting the Fortcast, you must be able to adhere to these guidelines:
- You will be active, dependable, and can be counted on to be there for scheduled recordings (unless immediate notice is given to find a replacement guest host)
- You will be an active member in the community (Website, Servers, or Ventrilo)
- You will NOT be an asshat while on the show. We have a reputable community and don't want to ruin our image.
- Please have a rather mature sounding voice. I'm not trying to discriminate, but lower pitched voices are easier on the ears for an hour + show.
- You will have a fluid, conversational speech. Awkwardness can kill a podcast.
- You must have fun! This is suppose to entertain the audience!
- You must be willing to record in the evenings of CST timezone (GMT -6)
Really, the most important thing is to have fun, speak well, and be entertaining. If we talk like a group of knowledgeable gamers who know what they are talking about, and can do so in a fluid manner, we will have a successful podcast.
As for the auditions, I will hold 1 on 1 recordings with those interested in hosting. The length will be around 5 minutes long and will consist of a series of pre-selected topics of discussion. Everybody will be speaking from the same topics. I will judge you on the above guidelines. Really, I just want to know you can handle yourself in a recording environment where you will need to think on your feet.
But don't worry about being perfect... there's always editing!
So, let me know if you are interested by stating so in a reply. Please put what days this coming week (Tuesday through Thursday) you would be able to record. Also, you will need the latest version of Skype; we will not be using Ventrilo for recording. I don't yet have a schedule for weekly recordings. I have a feeling it will come after the pilot episode is done... just so we know how much time we really need to prepare and for post production.
P.S. Sorry if this sounds very by the books and ruled by rules... I'm just trying to stay as organized as possible to make the best show I can.
