The current weapon switch scripts aren't working

In one of the recent updates, the equip command was disabled, and my one-key switch between the medigun and the kritzkrieg no longer works.  I switch between the two weapons frequently depending on the situation, and it's infuriating to navigate multiple menus to change weapons while my spawn partners run off and my teammates are dying.

Has someone worked out an alternative script that accompishes the same thing with the new item system yet?  I'm getting tired of this crap and I'd like a way around it.

Sadly. I've been using Atteans competitive cfg for a while now, and damn it was nice being able to tap f2 and switch between the two.

apoc did message Gabe though and he told her "they are aware of the issue and will try and implement something in an upcoming patch" Kinda like they did the no-models option actually in game.

If I remember correctly, back when Valve gave out the equip command, they mentioned that it would be changed in the "near future". Of course, that meant it took them almost a year....
