The infamous cleaver of game balance chopped it off!

As you might recall from the second trailer he had a dynamite package that exploded into a cluster, but it didnt make it into the final game...

I think those would be extremely useful, but I think they would have been spammed to hell, especially since they exploded into a cluster. If they didn't explode into a cluster and if an engineer could defuse them by hitting them with his wrench, I think it could be balanced.

I think the cluster bomb could have been cool if a demoman could only hold 1 at a time.  This would cause people to be selective about when they use it.

Another balancing idea would be if he could only drop it, not throw.  It would make it a challenge for him to get close enough to do some real damage.

They'd have to give everyone some type of grenade though and... well... they didn't.  I still miss the Engi's EMPs from TFC

They wouldn't have to. If anyone should get some sort of grenade it should be the Demoman.

I think it could have been balanced by giving you only one of them. Sure, you could resupply, but that'd require you standing by a dispenser the whole time. Easy pickings then.

Does anyone think its possible for them to do an update or a patch to the game to include this? also, what about the scout. what does he scout... NOTHING! he should have a scanner of some sort that helps him find dispensers and shtuff. This would make it more of a team thing.. for example!!

Send in a scout using his "scanner", he runs so fast he gets by those pesky sentries that his scanner helped him find. it only works for 10 seconds at a time and beeps more when he's closer. He cant take it out, so he informs his teammate spy to go in and use a sapper on that sentry. you back him up with a few of the other classes and you've got yourself game strategy and usefulness of them all.

I agree with the scatter bomb idea, give them 1, and make them use it wisely. why take out something so cool and give him two grenade guns and a bottle. could have made that character a bit more exciting. every character should have some sort of reason for us to want to use them. i find myself having more fun with the engineers, and the spies because of the variety of stuff they do.

doesnt really seem balanced imho, at least not balanced in the sense of character pull.
