There are only so many Duke Nukem Forever jokes

I knew this was coming.

If you guys didn't see the update:

Update: Apogee Software and Deep Silver have issued a statement to Shacknews, confirming that there is a "situation at 3D Realms" but stressing they are not affected.

"Deep Silver and Apogee Software are not affected by the situation at 3D Realms," a representative for the companies has told us. "Development on the Duke Nukem Trilogy is continuing as planned."

In development at Frontline Studios, the Duke Nukem Trilogy represents three new Nintendo DS and PSP titles, with the first, Critical Mass, hitting in September. The trilogy is separate from Duke Nukem Forever, which was in the works at 3D Realms proper.

Duke Nukem still lives!

NOOOOO!!!!!!  Duke Nukem Forever!!!!!!  Hopefully, one of the two remaining companies will finish it, that game needs to be made.  Without it, the gaming universe will be forever incomplete.

Scoob is gonna be really mad

This game has got to be the most legendary vaporware ever. It's even worse than Too Human and TF2 (both of which eventually saw release) at this point.

Did you know that it took the Wright brothers less time to design, build, and fly the first airplane than it did for DNF to be announced and then finally cancelled?

It also took less time to put a man on the moon, from Kennedy's first challenge to the actual landing.

Truly, it was a thing of legends; even if it was more of a joke than anything, it set the goddamn standard for other companies. Now all those games that spend years in dev can say "Hey guys, it's cool; at least we're not DNF."

Seriously, it feels like I first heard of this game when I was still in gradeschool. If nobody picks it up, I might just try to complete it so I can stop hearing about DNF. It will suck and it will have a whopping 5 minute campaign, but if I have to I will damnit.
