Recently every time I try to play TF2 o the Orange Box there is an error in joining the server.
When searching for servers there is no problems, yet when I try to join it gives me all this BS like
'Unable to join the game session. Please try later.'
It's done this for the past 10 nights at least

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yep sounds like the friend list glitch. You'll have to remove a friend or two then should be good to go.

Ok so I took your advice and deleated 4 of my friends who I no longer talk to, but it's still not working!

When I try to join a match it seems perfect but then after a bit I get 'Unable to connect to the game server. Please try again.'

But what's most annoying is that about once in every 30 attempts I do connect but the server is so laggy that i get disconnected about 5 minutes later. Any other suggestions?

Hey I know how you feel im ready to lose it. I was on sky with a 1 meg connection, decided to go on virgin now have a 10 meg connection great upgrade. So assuming it would be good for gaming i went on my ps3, loaded up orange box, went on tf2 it connects to ea fine and find server results but when i go to join the server it goes "unable to connect to server". Even with a one meg connection from sky i was able to join servers so im quite annoid.

I have tried disabling the nat, spi firewall, the wmm and putting the ps3 in the dmz area but nope still dosn't work, I have also tried forwarding all the ports that was recommended and it still dont work. I am running out of ideas, any help would be appreciated.

My router model is Netgear 614v9.

Do you have a wired or wirelss connection?

If you have a wired connection then look at the green light at the back, it should be flashing normally. Then attempt to join a server. If the light then struggles to flash dissconnect the cable from the back of the PS3 and give it a few seconds. Then reconnect, you should sign in automatically. Go for a quick match and you should join.

That might not work for you but it certaintly did for me. I recently joined Virgin from Sky and have my router model is Netgear too, seems to be an identical problem we have here. Works fine for me now.
