VAC Banned

Okay, so my steam account got hacked some time ago by a notorious hacker in the aus/nz community Burning Aces (banned from all ozfort related things, welll known to be a hacker and complete dickhead and people still recruit him into clans :\) and he hacked my account (no idea how, wasn't phished in the usual sense, it must have been a trojan or something, but I have never downloaded anything from him. I repeat, I WASNT hacked by some dipshit asian who has no idea and sense retarded messages) and now I'm vac banned. So fucking pissed off. I don't see how they decide this shit on VAC. For a start, most hackers don't get caught by VAC. Why they don't check previous history is beyond me.

Why ban an account that steam:
1) Acknowledged as being hacked
2) Has never hacked before
3) Has provided proof of purchase
4) That was being used in a completely different location

Seriously, people say that hackers will use different computers and claim that it was hacked, but there's an easy way to do it. Check how many times the account has been "hacked" and how often the hacks are used. If someone actually did get hacked 3 or 4 times, I would be fine with it. If steam suppoer responded, then they wouuld disable the account. Max hacking time: a few hours. They will get banned from the servers they play on, no big deal. Then the account will be reactivated when they provide proof of purchase and all of that. If it happens again or maybe twice again, ban the account. Pretty simple, besides, I don't see a need for VAC, or Punkbuster. Most hackers get through, it screws up too many games (punkbuster in paticular is terrible), it bans the wrong people and from what I can tell just cause problems.

Now I know they aren't going to change anything, because I know this happens to a lot of people, and I know that noone here can do anything about it. But fuck, I'm pissed off. It was activated just before a scrim too. Seriously.

I'm in the same boat...Somebody, somehow gain access to my steam account and my Company of Heroes account. I manage to save my CoH account cause I was online when the guy logged in, but, I did not have that much chance with steam. Way to go Steam
