VAC Secured

Hi,
I just run a server using the creat server thing in TF2. I put in sv_lan 0 and sv_cheats 0 and sv_pure 1 . But when i start up the server, it doesn't say that it is VAC secured. So can someone tell me how i make it VAC secured.

when you type in pure its only activated when you change maps

But when i have typed that in, i do change maps.

make sure you have

sv_secure  set to 1, which is default

if it is, and it still isnt working then your firewall might be blocking your server from connecting to VAC (it must connect to verify and download files)

furthermore, i would argue that if you are creating a tf2 server through tf2 instead of through SRCDS that it is not even necessary for you as not only is the likelyhood of cheaters on your random server low, but you will have direct access to kick so you can kick any hackers on the spot.
