So i dunno if you guys saw the tech demo for this a while back at E3 or CES, but valve has recently added beta support in portal and EP2 for the Novint Falcon.

Its $200 (really EXPENSIVE).

So the question is, would you buy/use this?

I'll buy it if the price falls to $40.

I just watched the demo of the device.

It looks very cool.  My only concern is comfort.  Wouldn't your arm and wrist get very tired?  It looks like your arm would be placed in a very unconventional manner.

If it is was a 100 bucks, a lot of games utilized it's functionality, and it was comfortable, I would definately buy it.

After watchin the demo on their website (specifically the demo w/ the Pistol grip), it seems cooler than it initially did. The Mouse is ... not the perfect peripheral for FPS' and the like, it's just the best we have so far.
Out there somewhere in all of possible reality is a much better peripheral. This may not be it, but it looks to be on the way.

If I had one, I'd definitely spend some time with it and see how it measured up.

i dont know about the force feedback, wouldnt that shit on your aim?
it would be more realistic, but imagine if your mouse jumped around on your desk while you try to headshot a scout.

I was under the impression you can turn force feedback off, am I correct in thinking that?

I would certainly assume you would be able to disable the function (and possibly customize exactly how it works)

Also, I've changed my mind a bit. After doing some more research on it, I definitely think it looks interesting. I still wouldn't be willing to pay $200 for it, though

edit: PanFrie beat me to it with his ninja griefing
