They have it set up so you d.c every time you get 2 kills on someone with a hat. Also, when you try to reconnect you only get 20 fps instead of 100 on the same map.

This thread is for discussing Valve creating an event designed to keep you playing all day. It's like they're trying to make tf2 into an mmo.

I never got d.ced but did get 10 fps but this only happens on the one map, and doing the acheivemnts only gets you lame hats, so why do you care?

I played for 1.5 hours last night and got dominations on multiple people wearing the Gibus without ever getting disconnected. I was on one server that when it changed maps from Harvest to Harvest it had low fps problems at first, but it cleared up soon after and it didn't happen again when the map switched a second time. On another server the map switched this way and we never had a problem with low fps.

I'm sorry, to be perfectly clear, you're saying that you are being disconnected every (2) times you kill someone with a hat, then when you re-connect you have bad fps?

I'd find it very hard to believe that people would be being disconnected from servers. It would be a very noticeable glitch which Valve would be on it to fix pronto. Heck, there's an achievement to dominate someone with one of the hats which requires you to kill them 3 times.

The bad fps is more explainable, although if you're having trouble it's probably an isolated case. Think about it, why would a great, reputable company like Valve give their consumers Free additional content, but have it not work. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
