Ventrilo question

This is sort of related, because it's the TF2F Vent SERVER sooo...

Is there any way to set a maximum volume from ANYONE?  Some people talk so quiet, but when they laugh or yell it nearly makes my ears bleed because I have turned them up.

Like a maximum sound level that everything is quieted down to
The quiet screamers nearly make vent unusable...


I don't know if this is possible...

There was an extremely helpful thread detailing how to equalize everyone's volume in vent..I'm trying to dig it up right now. If anyone has a link, plz post.

This makes everyone roughly the same volume so you don't have people way to loud or way to quiet.

Go to Set up -> Enable direct sound -> SFX button ->

Select Compressor and Click Add -> Compressor Properties ->

Gain = How loud you want people to be. (Mine is 0)
Attack = 0.01
Release = Somewhere around 500
Threshold = Around (-30)
Ratio = 100
Pre-Delay = 4.0

i used it, and it helps a lot..... quiet people are definitely louder, and the loud people are a lot quieter! thanks wernstrum.
