I've heard about this for awhile, but finally took a look at it last night and was seriously intrigued by what I saw.  I've always liked the Warhammer and 40k worlds so I have to say I intend on checking this game out if nothing else. Anyone else planning on giving it a try?
At the very least, watch the trailer. Very well done. Buddy gets messed up hard at the end.

If they make a 40k version, I'm definitely getting it.

Yeah id prolly pick up a 40k version. I'm tired of before my time MMO's. Id rather play a  futuristic one.

BTW this is an EA game. Buyer beware. At the first sign of unprofitably they will turn on you and run and never ever look back.

I always give people the benefit of the doubt. I did kinda cringe when I realized EA had swallowed up Mythic and they were the ones putting out the game, but, so far I do like what I see. I would also rather see a 40k version, but I like the story they've got going for this one. So I figure, give it a chance, if I like it play it, and do so as long as its still fun and growing.

Seems like they're really making a huge effort on WAR though.  EA, that is.  Im a 4 year veteran WoW gamer, and Im totally stoked to check out Warhammer.  The classes look awesome, and the graphics are looking sweet.  The reports, videos and screenshots from Beta testers so far all look good.  But still a little while before release.  I'll be interested to see how it does in the longrun against WoW with their 8 million+ cult following.

I've been watching this game for a long long time. I've lost faith in MMOs and don't have the time to dedicate to them that I used to. If I ever get another MMO I will wait to see how it is after release then make up my mind about it. I've been interested in this one but I'm not going to play it from the start and that would be a first for me.

awww the side effect of age, more casual gaming, less 26 hour Boss camps.

Been waiting years, old WoW player and now I play CoH. Probably gonna try WAR and see if I like it. Champions Online looks a little better to me (I'm a superhero junkie, hence CoH), especially since it has the "action fighting" system built in. I was totally stoked for this game like a year and a half ago but they kept delaying it month after month so that its now like 2 years past its original launch date. The constant waiting has dulled my desire to play the game. And the EA thing is kind of a turn off to.

Been a member of the alliance community site for a few months now.

Looks ok,  probably not spectacular. It may take people away from WoW but when Bioware's Sci Fi mmo hits I have a feeling that will be bi.

They recently cut 4 classes out, as well as 4 of the capitol cities to be released after launch. Essentially this means only 1/3 of the campaigns will be in at launch.

The big puller is this RvR combat system or Realm on Realm involving hundreds of players doing a huge quest (storming a city for example) with other players on the other side fighting back (for equality of course) but how will this work, and better yet will everyones computers explode from the amount of data being processed?
