Greetings TF2F, it's been a while. I've only recently started playing in your PUGs, and I must say that they are a lot of fun. My clan also needs me to demo for the team, and needless to say, I have to get better quickly. So if it isn't too much to ask, would you please watch this demo from one of your PUGs and help a fellow demoman out?  http://files.filefront.com/tf2fpug6dem/;13352909;/fileinfo.html  (Game doesn't start until about 1/8 of the way through)

Some things I think I need to improve: Conservative play- I often found myself too far forward in the front lines, and getting hammered by their entire team. Since one of my main roles is spam, I need to stay alive more.
v. Scout- This one is pretty obvious, but I need to work on my scout 1v1s, or 2v1s.
Ammo conservation- I think I need to pick and choose my grenade locations a little more carefully in close-quarters combat.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I would say definatley download lots of match demos from gotfrag (it;s free, easy and the fourms are great). Watch destro and dummy if you can.

1. Don't be too conservative. Yes, spam is important. Look to pick and choose your oppurtunities carefully. Also, like soldier, try to gain the height advantage by sticky jumping.

2. Practice using pipes. If you can try to place a couple of stickies on the ground first, if you are shooting pipes everywhere they may forget about those stickies. Also, i would suggest if you are not alreayd doing so, farm th scout achievments (they are pretty easy to do that), then playing demo during the update period. Yes you will do poorly, but hopefully you can learn to better judge scout spedd from A to B and such. if it's 2v1, you will die.

3. I don;t really know, i never seem to run out of ammo.

Just practice heaps. The more demo u play in pub games, the easier u'll find judging where to lob ur nades and stickies. Remember demo is an ambush class so dont be afraid of laying stickies and hiding for a while. But if ur playing clan games, id suggest lots of spam in the main battle and ull get a few lucky kills. plus, putting a cluster of stickies in a tunnel will slow the enemies advance as most ppl dont like dying from stickies

I didn't look at the demo yet but..as a demo you need to be sticking with either the roamer solly or scouts. You have to work together and they have to protect you.
As for scouts i usually place a stickie around every corner just to prepare for them. also if im in battle or see them coming i place down 2 stickies in two different areas to limit their movement then start piping. It helps me a ton because if i miss my pipe because they dodge it chances are they're in range of my stickies and blam! or if my pipe doesn't miss..well you get the point.
Now I can't guarantee you'll kill them everytime but your % will increase alot by doing so.

well ur aim with the grenades semi-close range is pretty respectable.

one thing you should work on is spamspamspam with those grenades at the middle. unless you have the combo trapped in the house the tossing stickies wont do much cause enough damage to make it noticeable

with demos ammo conservation isnt a huge deal. especially on blands. lots of ammo packs around that map

so far what ive seen youre pretty respectable. you know the basic parts so all you gotta do is just improve on the little things
