What happened to the fortcast?

I thought it was every 2 weeks, sorry if i missed an announcement somewhere

An interesting question.  To which there is no good answer.  Is the Fortcast dead?  Not exactly.  The past month has been difficult for us as far as arranging schedules.   With the onset of the school year we have been forced to reevaluate our production schedule and production roles.  All of the hosts agree that we wish to continue with the show.   I may be assuming the production role on further episodes, but am not as familiar with the editing process as Big Lou is, and have been working on becomming more familiar with some recording software that I intend to use.   Please be patient.  Remember...we're going for quality vs. quantity.   We wouldn't want to release something that we would not be proud of or that we feel would not be a good reflection on our community.

Thank you TheButterFly for clarifying that to us. It was quite informative and I myself am a fan of the Fortcast. Hopefully you guys would release an episode soon.

I'd suggest using Goldwave for any of your editing needs, if you're not already using it. It's fairly simple to get the hang of and theres plenty of tutorials out there for it, if you get stuck on anything.

I am planning on using Adobe Sound Booth, it looks pretty simple so far.

On a side note, I noticed fortcast.tf2f.com isn't responding today. Hope it's just some kind of temporary server error.

I talked to lancer about this very issue and he told me it is kinda on the backburner (FT2 pun!). They definitely want to do more of them but with the current state of the community, with all the power switching over and all the stuff that is trying to be fixed/changed/added, it isn't a priority.

Not sure if this is the place for it, bu given the time zone difference, this is the easiest way, I have a proposal for the fortcast, I know a few companys who wish to sponser a tf2 podcast and I myself can do the producing, its a great show and I would like to see it continued. Chat in private about the details but the cast has support and there are a lot of us down under who want to see it back on its feet.
