What is your opinion about aiming?

Do you ever train yourself in aiming? (How do you do that?)

Regarding all of those in order...

1. Sensitivity is more about preference. Some people like high, others like low, some, like me, in the middle.
2. I use a laser mouse. With a cord. When the batteries start to die performance lowers.
3. Not really no, but a way you could do it is play the game. The more you play the better you get.
4. Negative 5. I suck at aiming. That's why I like spy and pryo. The two classes that you don't have to aim with.

- sensitivity is around 6, i think. i know some ppl like to move a full 90 degrees with a slight flick of the wrist... i prefer to mover my hand a bit when turning. too much sensitivity kills my accuracy.

- i use a cordless laser, G7 i think. The batteries are swappable in 5 seconds, so its not a hassle at all. My cords kept getting tangled, and I was having issues with cords in general.

- you just get better as you play. its essentially muscle-memory for hand-eye coordination.

- i'd rate myself at 7, or 8 on good days. I've played a lot of BF2 and 2142 (and original CS back before Source), so I got used to it over time. I play sniper whenever I get the chance (aka theres not too many snipers on my team), so a good aim is pretty important.

Sensitivity is 5.

Yes, I'm learning how to aim better. Not just how to hit people, but when playing as a Soldier learning how to anticipate where someone will be based on their distance and direction of movement.

I would rate myself as a 6, maybe a 7, but that's pushing it.

1. 20. My sensitivity is schizophrenic. Good for destroying any hopes of circle-strafes, and shottying/meleeing in a pinch. It also makes me the worst Sniper ever.
2. Optical mouse w/cord. I hardly believe that you can blame a mouse on your performance, unless it is wireless and the batteries are dying.
3. If you're ever filling up a server with a few people, most of them will be Scout. Shotty them. It works wonders.
4. Since each class has their own unique weapons which requires different aiming techniques, I don't think a standard out-of-ten rating really does a good job of evaluating one's prowess. I can aim very well with most classes (although maybe not pipebombs as well as others), and once I can get those shotty hits on Scouts more often it'll be in the bag.

not really, i just play. Sniping with low sensitivities really help.

I would say 7-8, i have confidence in my skills but I know I can always improve.

I turn the sensitivity up all the way. You suck for awhile but eventually you train yourself to be used to it and its great to stop circle straffing.

-->  5, I think.  I also have a higher sensitivity built into the mouse itself, which I switch to in a pinch.

--> Logitech G5.  Not a huge fan of it, as it's hard to reliably click the mouse wheel.

--> Only by regular practice.  I got the bestinclass map to train as sniper, but didn't get much out of it.

-->  4?  I see myself as a good player who can reliably take the top 3 if my team is competent enough, but this is my first FPS, and I'd say my twitch aiming is below average.
