Hi, I've been thinking about it and I figured out that the only thing that is missing for me to become a "above-average" medic is when to pop out ubers

I think I'm good at dodging, healing, farming ubers, staying away from trouble, fighting back (when possible) the only thing that is missing is when to pop out ubers

I know I have to pop out when i'm about to die and stuff, but I find me holding the uber for too much time. I tend to wait for the soldier to be in red health in order to buy more time but sometimes they die and this is not good.

Sometimes I hold ubers for too much time then a scout comes and hit me, forcing to pop out the uber just to save myself. Or when I'm with a soldier and we're facing some enemies, sometimes I let he die (and save myself) just beacuse I don't want to pop out uber in a meaningless fight (when we're away from the capture point)

I think I need more tips about how to use uber effectively, this is pissing me off

sorry for my english

ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS pop them ealier rather than later. If we are just talking pubs as long as I'm still alive I'm never going to btich at a medic for popping too early.

Also, if you are running in with someone at 100% and are about to clear a room or tunnel or something, stay on your patient. Don't go off to heal that Scout as we are going in. It's annoying and I'd rather just not get the impression that I'm going to get an uber only to be left alone and it's too late.

I would love to see some kind of stat for the percentage of medics that died with 100% charge. I'm sure it would be substantial.

I think it's better to start from a point where you're using the uber too much, and then figuring out when you shouldn't use it, than it is to start from a point where you're using too little, and figuring out when you should use it.

As a general rule, use it when you can do a significant amount of damage. It doesn't have to be a perfect uber. You should be able to get in, get the key kills you need, and then both you and your patient get away safely.

by the way your english is not bad at all.

if you see your health near 25% and it's still a battle, you better pop that cherry, and run out there all nice shiney and red.

I probably contribute to half of those numbers myself

As others have said, don't sit waiting for the perfect uber. Your first priority is to keep yourself alive, so always pop if you're in danger. Try to communicate to your patient so they know when you want to use your uber. Be aware of situations where the uber will be most useful (if you're going to take out a sentry, or if you plan to rush the point).
