For those who don't know what the GRU is it's the Gloves of running Urgency which is being tested in the TF2 beta. They make the heavy run at regular speed when he has them out.

Here's a picture of version 3: http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/108/gloves3.jpg

Basically if valve releases these do you think it will be enough to be able to be run as an alternative to the pocket soldier in 6v6?

Either way I really want them, Heavy is way too slow.

It looks meh, -6 per second seems a bit much if you wanted a health drain.

You thought the heavy could have these gloves on, running around for 5 minutes (un-buffed) without dying?
With -6 he can run around for 50 seconds and still be alive without taking any external damage.

If the move speed bonus is large enough then it will be balanced.

Yeah, I think we'd be seeing a lot more low-mid teams running full time heavies. -6 hp a second isn't bad, you have the option of
A: Letting the medic buff/heal you up (which would almost always happen in comp matches)
B: Picking up a healthpack (Assuming it's not the start of the round and the demo doesn't need it)
C: Throwing your sandvich in front and eating that (assuming you're using it)
The -6 hp a second is only when you have the gloves out, as is the speed boost.

I definetely think that it could make the Heavy more viable in comp play

I really want these, as well as the new Engie Wrench. I don't understand while Valve hasn't released them yet

It almost seems to be a free helping to build the meds uber when out.

I run heavy now on occasion because it can be viable but he's so situational because he's slow

Well they need to make a model for them.... and then figure out how everyone can unlock it.

Also I think they're waiting for the engy update to release the engy wrench.
