Ok, so heres the scenario
1.Click TF2 icon on desktop, loads up,menu
2.Found a server, clicked connect
3.During connection at the "Retreiving server info/Sending client info" the game closes
4. Message pops up "Virtual Memory low", says to go to Steam support center

I can't remeber the whole message but it basically says that my memory is low and something with the engine not having enough memory. This happens with any server and on Garrys mod(even in singleplayer for Gmod). So, to anyone who knows what to do, helpy! Try to explain in laymans terms so no computer ju-ju.

Edit:here's the message

Internal driver at Present
You're likely out of Paged Pool Memory! For more info, see

You might want to up that, but that is not your problem here.

Up your virtual memory.

1. Click Start, then Control Panel.
2. Click Performance and Maintenance, and then System.
3. On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
4. On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
5. Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file that you want to change.
6. Under Paging file size for selected drive, click to Custom size check box. You can enter the amount of memory you would like to reserve for Virtual memory by entering the initial and maximum size. (choose the same amount, make it about 1GB or so, that's how I've always done it)
7. Click Set
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

Perfect, i would set it to max for the fact that if it doesn't need it, window should at least be able to access it.

You should get more RAM though, it would indirectly solve the problem.

You should get DDR2 PC2-4200 ram, it is cheap and you have 4 slots to fill.  I suggest you get 2x1GB sticks it will make your whole computer work better.

CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB
Kingston ValueRAM 2GB
Crucial 2GB

If you want RAM you probably couldn't go wrong with any of the above. The Kingston RAM has free shipping.
