Hey, so I bet all of you guys are saying

"WTF, this douchbag has 2 posts, what does he know about us, or the community?"

I don't blame you guys one bit. I emplore you to read my story and if you think i'd be a fun guy to play with, please say so.

About six months ago, I started my current job while finishing up my second year of college (well a Canadian University). During the school year, I didn't have much time to play TF2 and when I did, I quickly got bored of the Scene. In the past, I was used to a robust community of players who I got to know personally. I grew up playing the original Day of Defeat and kept with a tight knit (but small) clan for a number of years.

When bored at work one day, I stumbled upon your site and read pretty much every thread I could get my hands on. Barred by company rules, I was not allowed to register (I dont understand why...) and after my cousin broke our home computer with a hockey stick, playing tf2 was impossible (unless at a friends) until a few days ago when I made a new comp for myself!

While playing TF2, I always try to be a respectable player and am always looking for opportunities to improve my skills. Recently, I have decided to become a career sniper and look forward from learning from the best in the business.

I look forward to seeing you all on the servers soon. I'll probably get massacred!

Just because I know they'll say it anyways Zoltorg, you should download Ventrilo if you don't have it and habit the vent servers a fair bit. It's one thing to be a good player and a decent guy, but the TF2F guys like to see your personality a bit before they recruit you. This is pretty easy for them via ventrilo as it's more personal and that, so I'd suggest hanging out there more. Once everyone gets to know you, you'll have a shot.

I've asked for the vent password a few times but there has been some difficulties in adding to friend's list etc etc.

Zoltorg you sound like a good guy and I look foward to playing with you. Keep in mind though that no one becomes a squig overnight. Spend time in our servers getting to know everyone. This could take a couple months but the process is sped up if you are on vent nearly every day interacting with us. Play in our weekend SPUGS also. Overall just be a stand out member of the community on the forums and in-game while keeping a patient and positive attitude and you might have tags one day.

Skill has nothing to do with recruitment as well, although we do take into account being a competent player.

Naw, it's my fault he doesn't have the pw, I know Zoltorg, he's a good guy, I'd like him in vent. If you play sometime soon Zol I'll be on, if you didn't get the pw already.

I'll be doing all that as soon as I get back home. Im on a sort of mini vacation visiting family at the moment so im away from my precious tf2. on top of that university starts up again soon......
