arena_well.bsp differs from the server

Well, everything has been working fine and dandy since the heavy update, except for the fact that I cannot play arena_well. All other arena maps work fine, but whenever I try to join a server with arena_well running, I get an error message saying "Your map [maps/arena_well.bsp] differs from the server. I have already tried deleting clientregistry.blob and restarting Steam, but to no avail.

Any help regarding how to fix this problem or how to reinstall the patch completely would be greatly appreciated.

Exit Steam and delete the map
then give it a try

Where can I delete it? The maps folder only contains custom maps.

Double check your custom maps folder to be sure that you don't have a map named arena_well.bsp. If you don't have it listed you can start Steam, right-click on TF2 and select "Delete local content..." which will delete all your TF2 content. (I'm not sure if that includes custom downloaded things such as maps and sounds)

You'll have to reinstall TF2 again but it will hopefully fix your issue.

Nevermind, I fixed the problem. It looks like arena_well was somehow corrupted during the update download. For anyone else who gets this problem, just right click TF2 in Steam, select properties, and click 'Verify game cache'. It did a quick scan and then redownloaded the map.

Oh yeah. Verify content. I forgot that was an option. Glad to see that you didn't follow my post and delete all your content.
