blury death

whenever i die my screen flashes black lines but this happens strictly when i die. I am using a samsung monitor and my graphics card is a gtx 295. i am connected using a dvi cable. should i ajust my resolution or what?

If you aren't running at your monitor's recommended resolution, then yes, change it. I can't really give an explanation for artifacts on the deathcam. Do they appear in screenshots or anywhere else in the game? And you should follow these directions to post a DxDiag. They are most helpful. Google is thy friend as well, look up the make and model of your card plus "TF2 artifacts." Get the latest drivers from Nvidia, just to be sure.

Also, how long have you had your system? Do you overclock your GPU? Have you ever had issues with overheating? Deterioration, bad overclocks, and overheating are the main cause for artifacts in a case like yours. A 295 shouldn't have any other issues.
