building a cheap PC for TF2/L4D

Before I start this thread I should make it clear exactly what this PC is for: It needs to be cheap but able to LAN Tf2 and L4D. That's it. My friend and I are building it out of leftover parts, so we already have a few of them lying around. I'm posting here asking for suggestions and to make sure you computer whizzes out there make sure I don't blow up half of my house when I turn this thing on. ;]

First, parts we already have:

(1) Nvidia 8800gt
(2) Caviar 500GB HDD
(3) Windows XP

68 + 41 + 55 + 30 + 50 = $244. Almost nothing left over for shipping.

Next to each of these I've included the link for the part I'm currently considering, the budget maxes out at around $260 with shipping. However, as we already have the graphics card and HDD,  and the computer is intended soley to run older games, I think it can happen. Maybe I'm wrong. Please help.

Everything looks good there, but I'd grab a different mobo. Its Open Box and MicroATX. Not that I have anything agaisnt either of those, but I'd want more assurances, since you got nice parts for everything else.

I wasn't so worried about the open box, but the MicroATX did worry me a bit. Will the power supply do well with an 8800 gt? The processor and mobo are both low energy consumers, but the single 12V rail worries me. Thanks for your help. ;]

It may only have one 12V rail but it is a 33A rail. Others are able to run a 8800GT/9800GT on it and yours should to.

im a little late but that case should do fine for your basic needs. if u find some money in the future, add as many fans as you can fit to the case
