The map dom_canalzone_b3 has been updated to dom_canalzone and is now in its final version.  You may be interested in running this on a server if you are not already.  The map features a unique game mode called "Domination", where players capture control points and their domination percentage rises.  The first team to 100% domination wins the round.  This game mode was originally by TheBladeRoden.  Canalzone for Quakeworld Team Fortress was originally by David Sawyer (now of Valve).

Canalzone is a complex map that takes a number of playthroughs to grasp fully, but once you know your way around it is an excellent experience.  The map has been extensively playtested in its TF2 incarnation so far, and it has proven itself as a fun alternative to the typical grind of other game modes.

I like this map a lot but we had some complainers when we played an internal scrim. It probably had to do with how we were SPANKING them in the game

You're definitely fighting an uphill battle with this map as far as getting playing time goes, considering it's nonlinear and the only map like it. Best of luck with that!

P.S. Please make a gravelpit-style map next!

I agree with train, our internal scrim was a lot of fun on our side, but there were too many people playing who didn't seem to understand it immediately and didn't want to put the effort into understanding it and therefore complained and hated the map right away. With the right amount of people who would enjoy this game type, I'm sure this map would be a refreshing change with lots of strategy options. Thanks for making it.

I'm necroing this because I'd love to give it another shot. Domination play lends itself exceptionally well to TF2.

We should play it during a LNP, or the highlander afterwards
