freezecam

I think freezecam should be on for the tftrue server. it's not a match, it's not as serious as a match, and freezecam is nice for when you're practicing and you want to see how much health someone has left.

same goes for pugs, but there's an argument to be made there, whereas having it on for the dedicated is a no brainer imo.

You can see the health of who killed you in the chat logs. The lack of freeze cam stops you from gaining any intelligence from death, such as spies and snipers locations.

Also, when you die, it makes your camera turn to your killer's position, so you know where he is anyway.

I agree with Fortunate. If i want to play seriously during the day, then i go and play a pickup. IMO a pub is for more casual play, so i think the freezecam is good.

He's still alive, you're not.  I think that's the main problem you should be practicing with.

I'm torn with this. Part of me wants to keep it that way because it makes it more competitive, and gives you a reward for finding a good position. The other part says "This is TF2 NOT CS:S. It should NOT be a camp fest. Part of the reason that freezecam is there is so there can't be a camper that finds a REALLY hard spot to notice. They get the first kill, but TF2 is supposed to be fluid. NOT camp fest.

Our 8v8 TFTRUE server is the most competitive "pub server" in the whole game per se. Server 4 is almost not even considered a pub anymore with the players who come there but at the same time it is still a pub so I dunno.

Only thing it effects for me is my taunting, but if you taunt quick enough they see it anyways.

The only class that can kill you from camping and in one shot is a sniper.  If its a demo you'll see him when you turn the corner, and then die.  Any other class you can see tracers or the direction that the projectile came from.  Snipers are actually the one class thats meant to camp with, now is he more effective roaming? Yes, but thats not the point. 

Or see it from this way, the freeze cam was a mistake made by valve in the first place and it has no right to be there at all.  You can see enemy health in the chat log. 

I don't like the lack of the screenshot. It takes away one of the strongest features that I associate with TF2. It's the only reason I'm not completely happy with it.
