lag and aim

playing with around 30-40 ping makes it easier to snipe y/n?

I know some people like to complain about the hit boxes and net code and how sniping in tf2 is actually easier than other shooters, but I'm not sure what lag has to do with it. Can anyone who understands TF2 and the internet clarify please?

Shots from bullet weapons (sniper rifle, pistol, minigun, shotgun etc.) always hit if you press fire while your cursor is over the target's body.

The netcode is such that they behave as if there was absolutely zero lag. Literally zero.

I have a better shot as sniper when my pings going retarded (600 ish), just lose the quick movement and such aspects of it, as It takes about 2 seconds to scope in

Its all client based, so shots registered your end will be registered server end, even if they are actually round a wall.

Lag doesnt do anything to affect your aim.

It just makes you impossible to hit for the other team because youre warping all over the place :\

Ping that doesn't spike is nice because you can headshot them and then dive behind cover and they'll die three seconds later.

Not always.

The ping shouldn't really affect it much unless its constantly spiking.

with interp as well as the other silly shit Valve tried to do with this, its not the case necessarily that if you fire its going there. I did a whole test on a scout strafing back and forth and I fired at exactly the second he past(slowed down to 10% of normal speed and it was perfect), every single shot missed. Firing after he's past and it hits. Durban, I MEAN GMAN , posted a hitbox video too showing that trailing hitboxes are usually what gets hit. That's why in all of those videos the snipers are not near their target when they fire yet they are killing them. Blame Interp and netcode.
