new to admin

Hi, I'm a new admin for my clan's TF2 server, and i've been searching all over for months now with out finding help, so you all seem to be pretty knowledgeable so i figured i would ask you!

I'm looking for a resource (fourm post, website, video) that explains how to set up a dedicated TF2 server from scratch, with some of the basic settings a good server needs. i've bumbled my way enough to get source mod and meta mod installed, and trying to set up an rcon, but all the resources i find are more or less here is a command and what it does, good luck.

i would love to be more exact in what i'm looking for but i dont know. i know we want to run mostly custom maps, and a few fun mods. i dont know how to add in said custom maps beyond putting them in the maps folder. nor do i know how to fix the in-game Admin thru source mod, so that when an admin kicks a player it doesnt then kick him as well and restart the server.
