situation is that you have uber, you're attacking on payload or something like it and a couple of soldiers are less than 50 health and have nothing loaded from fighting off a freshly respawned wave of defense that have recently just wiped out everyone else with a good 3/4 of them alive, the rest of your team is dead. Do you:

multiuber them both just so they stay alive even though they have nothing loaded and are too far away and not high enough above the red to have any real chance of killing anything.

Or do you abandon them to their deaths to try and get back to the main group to counterattack with a much more productive uberchange?

Well it depends how much health you have, how far you are from your team and if they can catch up with you.

It also depends on how good the soldiers are.  If they are the type to just spam rockets in the general direction of the enemy, leave them to die.  If they are among the better players on the team, then saving them could make a weak point for the rest of your team to push through.  The most important thing is to tell them what you are doing, so they know how to react.

I would usually try to save them because my thought-process dictates that saving 3-4 people from certain death and buffing them back to full health at the cost of an uber is better than allowing 4 people to die, wasting time getting to spawn, wasting time bringing a patient back and using an uber for unpredictable results.

Besides, you'll easily be back at 25% uber after rebuffing all of those sollies.

ok, but assuming it's on badwater and between the seconds and third points with a large enemy force around the stairs up to the hut and balcony above the tracks, how would you expect experienced soldiers to react to such a clutch uber when they are so heavily outnumbered and outgunned? would they just press on as the enemy retreats and splits up/rocket jumps to safety, knowing that in 7 seconds they will be vulnerable with hardly anything loaded and ~100-150 health, or just fall back and reload and heal?

fall back a bit together with the soldiers, let them reload and buff them. then come in with an uber. Blowing it now would not only waste the uber, which isn't a nightmare. But they would not be able to do any damage and when the uber is over you're done.

Having only just started life as a medic, i know how to heal my comrades but how do i make them invincible once my Ubermeter is full? Does it do it automatically? Or is there a button to press or something?
