weird new glitch or my PS3 is ate?

so all this random fuckery is going on when i play. say i go to pick a custom match. it immediately starts ticking back and forth so i can't just pick like "ohh i wanna play hydro" it just skips back and forth between them all making it damn near impossible to choose. same thing when i go to pick my class. instead of "ohhh i think i will play... scout" i have to try and hit select real quick as it scrolls through the classes at a good mach 3 like i'm playing effin slots or something.

Sounds like a sticky controller to me. The left analog stick on mine sticks in the slightly forward position quite a lot and scrolls through menus on it's own. Sounds like yours might be stuck slightly sideways. I need to get a Dualshock3, one of mine is getting beyond sticky and now creaks like an old attic door when you move slowly.

It's the kind of thing that makes the minimum steps game in Portal impossible That's a good way to spot if it's drifting though.

I agree with the above, try another Sixaxis/DS3 if you can and see if it keeps going. Use a little alcohol and clean the controller button/sticks too.

i'm hoping if it is just some stickiness i can fix it easily. i'm sure drinking coffee and chain smoking while gaming is working wonders for the quality of my controllers...

god I hate that, except for me its the right analog stick so its almost near impossible to aim now without the reticle slightly moving to the left, or in some situations up. I think the reason was me playing scout with high sensitivity for those quick turns. I need to get a new controller too.

its so bad sometimes that the fact that i know which way i want to be pointing and the way my controller is aiming throws off my inner fucking equilibrium or something and i feel nauseous. dead serious. it BLOWS
