what's normal accuracy for a competitive sniper

usually, we only notice snipers when they're shooting us, so the only shots non-snipers notice most of the time are those that hit home.  earlier i was watching the 4k-pandemic match, and one of the snipers missed what i thought would be a standard shot, several times.  i suck as sniper - i'm probably the worst shot in the world, so i would like to ask some of our experienced snipers: ballpark, about what percentage of your shots are hits, and what percentage are headshots? and yes, we know Snuts's accuracy is around 250%.

Good snipers fire alot of shots. ALOT of shots. The more they shoot, the greater chance they will hit. I notice that good snipers will miss alot from this fact that they are acting as quickly as possible. Not exactly sure what the percentage is though, a good sniper will have to answer that.

I think the best ones here (Durban, Aztech, Snuts, BoC, Premsta) border 75-85% headshots, usually around there.

I'm thinking at least 75% hits in general, though it depends on the player.

Holy Hell, recently I've been about 20% hits. In my sniper good game I had at least 70% hits, and mostly all headshots.

I expend a lot of ammo.  If i live long enough, I usually run out of bullets unless i pick up ammo along the way.  I couldn't say what my accuracy is because there is no statistic for shots fired/shots hit. 

there is no way you could have 75% accuracy.    Sorry, but 75 is just too much to be true... cumulatively.  Maybe on a given day, or given round you may peak at 75% acc, but overall you have to be god to hit 3/4 of your shots.

LOL If i had to guess, I would say average for a good sniper is around 45% shots hit/shots fired, and 75-85% headshots out of those.

Haha, I headshot about 75% of my shots, I very rarely ever get a body shot...
BUT
I wait very patiently for my shots, I'm hopeless on quickfire, probably score 10% if I try to play like a pro.
I don't think ive ever run out of bullets before I've run out of health lol.
And I wait for the enemy to get in the way of my dot, which i hopeless against a half decent player. So I end up shooting heav and snipers mostly (tend to strafe slowly into my dot)

Accuracy depends on the situation. Who (what class) am I fighting? Are they close or far away? Do they know about me or do I have the advantage of being unnoticed.

Accuracy is nothing with a slow reaction time, that's why snipers fire so many shots.

I've fired 61000 shots with 3555 headshots. Minus about 5000 for smg and I have 6.3% headshots out of total shots. Now if its headshots per kill I have 3555/5423, or 78%. My headshots per shots is probably a bit low, because I hit a lot of headshots that don't kill. I'd probably bump it to 8 or 9%

I'm not a pro sniper either so better ones probably have better percentages.
